Graduate Degree or Dietetic Internship?
Are you interested in pursuing a graduate program (GP) with the goal of earning an MS degree and becoming eligible to take the RDN exam in 12 months? Alternatively, you might prefer a flexible MSDI program that allows you to complete your studies at a slower pace over a period of 19 months. If you already hold an MS or higher degree and are seeking a standalone dietetic internship, we also provide that option. We offer these three programs to cater to your specific needs, enabling you to personalize your experience. Students enrolling with the University of Rhode Island through us will obtain a Masters in Dietetics; 100% Online.
Need additional information? Click the image above to go to our Home Page with additional links to all three options, and/or click below to go directly to the University of Rhode Island Program pages.
For all programs, the experiential learning in the clinical and foodservice management settings will take place in Sodexo managed healthcare, corporate, and university settings. You will not need to find locations on your own.
You will be responsible for finding preceptors for the community, long-term care, and specialty rotations after acceptance to the program. Your program director will be able to assist you with this since we have countless preceptors (many are our own program grads) across the country that educate our interns/students.

10 Specialty Rotations TO INDIVIDUALIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE
Interns and students can choose from 10 specialty rotations to individualize and enhance their learning experience.
In our program you will have an opportunity for an in-depth individualized experience in an area of interest spending 160 hours of experiential learning in your chosen specialty rotation.
|
Rotations and Hours Overview
In our program you will complete 1024 hours of experiential learning, which is about nine to ten months in length at 32 hours per week (four 8-hour days per week in the supervised setting), which is our standard. During this time, you will complete our core curriculum rotations, which consist of the clinical, foodservice management, community, and long-term care as well as your five-week specialty rotation. In order to offer flexibility for your educational journey, we are pleased to accommodate interns who are interested in a part-time option, requiring a commitment of 24 hours per week in a supervised setting with prior arrangements. Our DI and MSDI options are more suitable for this purpose compared to the GP option. For more information on the part-time option, please see our FAQs page and don't hesitate to reach out to us.
