​Sodexo Dietetic Internship offers two Types of Scholarships
​
Sodexo Dietetic Internship Commitment to Diversity Scholarship; $5000
One scholarship awarded annually to Spring Match applicants.

Eligibility criteria:
  • All applicants matched to the Sodexo Dietetic Internship.
  • Recipient must demonstrate financial need and a commitment to Diversity in Dietetics.

Barbara Woodland Scholarships; $1000 each
Seven need-based scholarships are offered annually
​(Five to Spring Match applicants and two to Fall Match applicants)


Barbara Woodland retired from Sodexo in August 2018 after devoting 37 years to Sodexo and 24 of these years to Sodexo Dietetic Internships.   This scholarship was renamed in 2018 to recognize her contributions and dedication to Sodexo.

Eligibility criteria:
  • All applicants matched to the Sodexo Dietetic Internship
  • Demonstrates financial need while completing scholarship application

Interns matched to the program will receive details about the Sodexo scholarships.

​Barbara Woodland Scholarship Winners January 2022

​Kinsey Hargis graduated from the University of Georgia accelerated degree "Double Dawgs" program, earning combined bachelor's degree in dietetics and master's degree in nutritional science over the past five years. She is a region 6 intern living in Ringgold, GA and will complete the majority of her internship supervised practice rotations at Erlanger Health System in Chattanooga, TN.

​Abby Dilk graduated from Purdue University with a degree in nutrition science. She also completed her master's degree in public health nutrition at George Washington University and her didactic requirements at the University of Arizona. Abby will be completing her clinical and concentration rotations in Noblesville, IN and the remainder of her rotations in Denver, CO. She has an interest in working with patients who have eating disorders.



2021 Commitment to Diversity Scholarship Winner

​Blaine Ramalho is the proud recipient of our first Diversity Scholarship!  This scholarship was added in 2021 to recognize diverse dietetic interns who match to the Sodexo DI.  Blaine completed her BS degree in Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Rhode Island this past May. She is a native of Guyana, South America and will interning at Cambridge health Alliance with Region 1.

Anam Naik is a 2021 graduate the University of Houston in 2021 where she completed a BS degree in Human Nutrition and Foods. She is originally from Mumbai, India, but grew up in Qatar.  Anam will be interning in Texas with Region 10.

Gizele Watson is a graduate of University of DC and has a previous degree in Public Health Science from the University of MD, College Park.  She will be interning with Region 5 in Maryland.

​Jacqueline Villalpando is a 2020 graduate of the University of New Haven.   Jacqueline is from Norwalk, CT and will be interning with Region 2.

​Joanne Dorgilus graduated from Simmons University in May 2021 with her MS degree in Nutrition & Health Promotion.  She is a native of Haiti and will be interning with Region 2 in the Boston vicinity.

​Juliana Tamayo completed her MS degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, and Sensory Sciences from the Kansas State University. She holds a previous degree in Journalism and Creative writing.  Juliana will be interning with Region 5 in her home town of Washington, D.C.

​Genevieve Cohen graduated from Westchester University of Pennsylvania and holds a previous degree in Education.  Genevieve will be interning with Region 4 in the Philadelphia area.

Natasha Rumsey graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a degree in Human Nutrition and Dietetics.  She will be interning in Denver, CO with Region 11 and has an interest in Personal Training and Diabetes.

​Carly Walker graduated from the University of Scranton in 2018 with a BS degree in Community Health Education and will complete her MS degree in Nutrition from Marywood University later this month.  She will be interning with Region 4 in PA and has an interest in clinical dietetics, health promotion, and wellness.
