Optional Master of Science in Dietetics Track
- An Exciting and Innovative Partnership -
A cohort of MS-interns during orientation in 2017
By 2024, the Commission on Dietetic Registration will require entry level dietitians to have a minimum of a Masters degree in order to sit for the dietetic registration exam.
In anticipation of this requirement, Sodexo Dietetic Internship has partnered with the University of Rhode Island to offer an online, non-thesis Master of Science degree in Dietetics, that is completed within 14 months, in conjunction with the supervised practice. The theoretical coursework will enhance the experiential learning in the internship. The MS in Dietetics offers 11 courses for a total of 36 credits.
Completion of the MS program is not required to obtain an internship verification statement.
Courses and corresponding rotations are designed to be integrated and to enhance the internship experience.
The Program can be completed in 14 months, starting in September and finishing in October.
The University has kept the cost low to make it as affordable as possible for our interns.
