- Time management is key! I struggled with this during my internship. Try to be on top of all of your assignments. Take a class day if you need to. I struggled with getting my assignments done and taking a day just for assignments and homework has really helped me.
- Don’t compare yourself to another intern! With the distance option, everyone can be at different parts of the internship. So, don’t compare yourself! It is okay to go at your own pace.
- Take time for yourself! At times you may feel overwhelmed. So, do something that will help you relax like going for a hike, doing some yoga, or (my personal favorite) a spa day.
- Be enthusiastic and eager to learn! Your internship is a time to grow as a professional. The more you do and the more effort you put forth equates to you learning more.
- Have confidence! Be confident in what you have learned and have the confidence to put that into practice. It is okay to make a mistake that is how we learn and develop.
