During my wellness concentration I got the opportunity to work with 2 campus dietitians as well as the Sodexo national wellness director for campus services. I had a wonderful experience and learned so much in just 7 weeks! While working with the Fordham dietitian I got the chance to educate students on the benefits of eating a Mediterranean diet while handing out samples of baked falafel with tzatziki. The students loved the falafel and almost everyone said that it tasted even more delicious baked! It was a great experience to get to speak with students about the many benefits of plant protein, and expose them to a food that they might not have tried otherwise. I highly suggest the wellness concentration if you think that you might like to educate others, plan/host wellness events, council students, and work with food allergies.
