Distance Internship Mission and Goals
MISSION OF THE SODEXO, HEALTH CARE SERVICES DIVISION DISTANCE EDUCATION DIETETIC INTERNSHIP: To train dietetics professionals, who are leaders in the profession, by providing high quality, self-directed, and individualized educational experiences in a flexible manner to meet the unique needs of each dietetic intern.
Goals and Outcome Measures
Goal #1 - The program will prepare competent graduates to demonstrate leadership, self direction, critical thinking, and strong communication skills in all areas of dietetics practice.
Outcome Measures:
60% of graduates will exceed expectations (average 2.5 or above) on Final Evaluation
>80% of program graduates will pass the RD exam the first time.
98% of interns will complete the program within 21 months of the start of the program (150% of time planned for completion on a part-time basis, which is 14 months)
90% of graduates will score themselves 4 or 5 on the following measures on the 1-year graduate evaluation: leadership, self-direction, critical thinking, communications skills
90% of employers of graduates will score the graduate 4 or 5 on the following measures on the 1-year graduate evaluation: leadership, self-direction, critical thinking, communications skills
80% of program graduates seeking employment or continued education will find placement within 6 months of graduation
Goal #3 - The program will admit nontraditional students with culturally diverse backgrounds
Outcome Measures:
>80% of interns admitted to the program will be nontradiational (as defined as at least one year of work or life experience before and/or after completion of undergraduate education)
>25% of interns admitted to the program will be culturally diverse (as defined by the ADA)

>90% of graduates of the program will have participated in at least one learning activity as reported in the 1 year graduate evaluation form.
>90% of evaluations from graduate employers will reflect a score of 4 or 5 for the statement "graduate seeks new learning opportunities."
Goal #4 - The program will encourage graduates to seek employment with Sodexo
Outcome Measures:
80% of interns will meet with a Sodexo recruiter regarding employment opportunities
90% of interns will attend recruiting webinars conducted by the Sodexo recruiting team and will be given contact information for appropriate clinical recruiter
>60% of program graduates will seek employment in a Sodexo account
