Mission Statement
The Healthcare Division of Sodexo recognizes the need to provide registration opportunities in the Baltimore-Washington area for qualified graduates of didactic programs in dietetics education. Sodexo is committed to advancing the profession of dietetics through participation in training programs to provide these opportunities. Sodexo is committed to providing the highest quality training possible in order for graduates to enter the labor market as Registered Dietitians and function fully in various work settings.
Sodexo is committed to providing both clinical and managerial training consistent with the Sodexo Management Philosophy and the philosophies of the facilities we are contracted to manage.

Goals and Outcome Measures
Goal #1: To provide a route to registration experience within the Baltimore-Washington area for qualified interns; to recruit and select candidates interested in clinical nutrition or Wellness training.
70% of program graduates will work as registered dietitians in the Baltimore-Washington area.
90% of interns will complete the Sodexo Mid-Atlantic Internship and receive a Verification Statement from the Program Director.
80% of interns will have indicated an interest in clinical nutrition or wellness during the selection process.
Goal #3: The program will seek nontraditional students with culturally diverse backgrounds.
>40% of interns admitted to the program will be nontraditional (as defined as at least one year of work or life experience before and/or after completion of undergraduate education).
>25% of interns admitted to the program will be culturally diverse (as defined by the ADA).
Goal #5: The program will recruit graduates for employment with Sodexo Health Care Services.
>50% of program graduates will seek employment with Sodexo Health Care Services or at a Sodexo managed account, within one year of graduation.
70% of graduates hired will continue employment with Sodexo Health Care Services at least 3 years from the date of hire.
100% of interns will attend a class day presentation on Sodexo employment opportunities given by a member of the Sodexo Human Resources/Recruitment Department.

Goal #2: To provide an optimum training environment for the intern through the use of one-on-one supervision, ongoing intern program evaluation and improvement.
85% of competency areas will receive a score of 3.0 or higher, when rated by the interns in regards to comfort level or growth in the area.
100% of interns will rate the overall organization of the internship as good or higher.
100% of interns will rate the accessibility of the Internship Director as good or higher.
90% of interns will respond favorably when asked, “would you recommend this internship to someone else”.
Goal #4: The program will prepare competent entry-level dietitians who will successfully complete the Commission on Dietetic Registration examination, and who are prepared to function fully in a variety of work settings.
90% of program graduates will sit for the registration examination administered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration within 1 year of program completion.
Program graduates will achieve at least an 85% pass rate on the CDR examination over a 5-year period.
100% of graduates will respond positively when asked on their one-year evaluations if the internship adequately prepared them for their first entry-level position in dietetics.
Goal #6: The program will foster a spirit of ongoing self-directed learning.
90% of graduates will have attended at least one Continuing Education Program within 1 year of passing the RD examination.
30% of program graduates will be actively involved in their local/state dietetic association or other professional organization.
