Application Process - The program is using the on-line centralized internship application, DICAS, which may be accessed at https://portal.dicas.org (NOTE:  The DICAS portal won't be available until after August 2, 2010, for the Fall Match); email: DICASinfo@DICAS.org.  The on-line application must be completed for our program no later than 11:59 pm Central Time on September 24, 2010.  The fee to use DICAS is $40 for the first application submitted, and $20 for each additional application. 

Applicants must also register online at www.dnddigital.com for computer matching and select dietetic internship priority choices by 11:59 pm Central Time on September 24.  There is a $50 computer matching fee.

Official Transcripts - Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended should be sent to:  DICAS - Transcript Department, PO Box 9118, Watertown, MA  02472.  Click here to view the Verification and Final Transcript Policy.

ADA Verification Statement - or Declaration of Intent Statement for the Didactic Program in Dietetics completed and signed by your Didactic Program Director. It will be submitted online electronically directly from your DPD director.  See DICAS for more information.  (Original Verification Statement will be required prior to beginning program.)

Three Letters of Reference - When completing the application form, applicants must include the name and contact information (specifically an email address) for each reference.  This will trigger an email message requesting completion of a reference form.  The form will be completed online. 

Personal Statement - A personal statement is required to be submitted directly on the DICAS Site.  It is required to be 1,000 words or less and should include answers to the following questions:

• Why do you want to enter the dietetics profession?
• What are some experiences that have helped to prepare you for your career?
• What are your short-term and long-term goals?
• What are your strengths and weaknesses or areas needing improvement?

Application Fee – In addition to the DICAS application fee, the  internship application fee should be sent by mail to the internship director to be considered as an applicant.   Please send your non-refundable check or money order payable to: Sodexo.  Application fee is $50 to apply for one geographic area or emphasis and $75 to apply for 2 or more geographic areas and/or emphases.
