Dietetic Internship!

Sodexo’s Allentown, PA-Based Dietetic Internship is pleased to announce an exciting new opportunity for students interested in Nutrition & Diabetes!  Our program was approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) to offer two Diabetes Emphasis internship slots annually beginning September, 2007.

This is an excellent opportunity for students who want to pursue a career in Medical Nutrition Therapy of the diabetes population. Our goal is to provide interns with a basic knowledge of all nutrition related disease states with an emphasis on the prevention and management of Diabetes. Interns chosen for the Diabetes emphasis will spend more practical experience with the Diabetes population. One intern will be selected to intern at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA and one intern will be selected to intern at Pinnacle Health Hospital in Harrisburg, PA.  Both programs are affiliated with a specialized Diabetes Outpatient Clinic. The cost and expenses are the same as the general emphasis and the intern will spend class time along with the other interns. 

All applicants to Dietetic Internships (DI) must participate in computer matching. Interested applicants may apply to our Diabetes Emphasis Internship in addition to or in place of our General Emphasis Internship.   Applicants interested in applying to both programs should send one application and mark your D&D digital cards for both programs specifying if you are interested in the Allentown location and/or the Harrisburg location for the Diabetes Emphasis.   The D&D digital code for the General Emphasis is #191.  The D&D digital code for the Diabetes Emphasis - Allentown is #174 and the D& D code of the Diabetes Emphasis - Harrisburg is #171.  Only $50.00 application fee is required for one program (general or diabetes emphasis) and $75 for  both programs.    Please specify your interest in applying to the Diabetes Emphasis via a cover letter and let us know your location preference for either Allentown or Harrisburg.
